Fulham grabbed their first win of the season with a comfortable 2-0 win over West Brom on Monday night to move out of the bottom three.

Goals from Bobby Reid and Ola Aina were enough to overcome a lifeless Albion side, who haven't beaten Fulham away in a league match since October 1967.

In what was such an important game down at the foot of the table, Scott Parker's side showed plenty more fight compared to their opponents and deserved to go in front in the opening 26 minutes, with Aleksander Mitrovic outjumping Conor Townsend at the backpost to put it on a plate for Bobby Reid, who headed home despite the best efforts from Branislav Ivanovic to try and clear it off the line.

The hosts had their tails up and doubled their lead just four minutes later as Mitrovic was involved again, laying the ball off for Ola Aina, who unleashed a rocket of a shot into the top corner from 20 yards past a helpless Sam Johnstone.

The Baggies then had a glorious chance spurned to get back into the game with Karlan Grant blasting wide of the goal after a mistake from Zambo Anguissa.

Fulham should have grabbed a third goal in the second half as Tom Cairney's clipped effort was cleared off the line after a Sam Johnstone error, and then Bobby Reid's follow-up was somehow kept out by Semi Ajayi.

Fulham boss Scott Parker said, "We definitely got what we deserved. We are definitely maturing and definitely improving. We got a result and it is brilliant but we have to keep moving forward."

West Brom Head Coach Slaven Bilic said, "They were better than us in everything, one v one, two v two, passing the ball, aggression and commitment, everything really and I'm extremely disappointed - we can't play like this.

"It's worrying - not the points or position, but the performance. Everything starts with the work rate, commitment, dedication and we simply didn't match them and have to work much, much harder."

It doesn't get much easier for Slaven Bilic's side with Tottenham Hotspur visiting The Hawthorns next Sunday, whilst Fulham travel to The London Stadium on Saturday to take on West Ham.
